    Losing fat before you can hope for flat abs is of course paramount! Many people start doing situps thinking they will have rock hard abs in a week or two.

    I agree with Dan,

    I’ve seen people walk into my fitness center and they almost always think that crunches, sit ups, or that really scary ab machine is going to be the ticket to six pack abs.

    I’ve found that doing full body work, especially stuff where it involves engaging my abs, really does a number of things: a) it helps me burn more calories and fat, and b) it also indirectly works my abs so that most of the work is done!

    Hi..I have tried everything to get my 6 pack to show without flexing..I have ate all the protein and nuts and fruits..etc.I lost weight but again my 6 pack hasn’t showed..is there anything else I can do?

    Run atleast an hour a day or atleast 3 miles. Also do a bunch of abdominal exercises like planks, sideway planks, crunches, situps, 90 degree situps work best for me. Drink atleast 64 oz of water a day. You should be able to get your abs ripped by doing this.
